Discover Carley Smith

I've been writing poetry since I was young, and publishing a book has been a lifelong dream, one that I'm deeply grateful to finally see come true.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and hold a certification in Early Childhood Special Education. For over thirty years, I had the privilege of working as a special education teacher, teaching young children with special needs. It was, without a doubt, the most meaningful and rewarding work of my life.
My husband and I live in a small town, surrounded by family. I'm blessed to have my children, grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren nearby, they bring constant joy to my days.
When I'm not writing, I love spending time in the garden, canning, sewing, taking photographs, and watching birds. I also enjoy collecting dolls, bottles, turtles, and rocks, little treasures that remind me to stay curious and connected to the world around me. Nature has always been a source of peace and inspiration, and I feel most at home when I'm outdoors with the sun on my face and the earth beneath my hands.
This book is a reflection of many of those joys and experiences, and I’m so honored to share it with you
